Mike joined the State Bar of California in 2009 and has been admitted to practice before all Courts in the State of California and in the Central and Southern Districts of California‘s federal and bankruptcy courts.
Mike has represented and assisted hundreds of businesses with identifying and implementing strategies to manage risk, protect against exposure, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect assets. As a business litigator, Mike has been first chair in numerous trials, arbitrations, and mediations. His case work involves complex business disputes, real estate and development disputes, securities fraud defense, tax consulting or audit representation, commercial debt collection, and judgment recovery.
In 2004, Mike graduated from U.C. Irvine with degrees in Political Science and Economics. In 2009, Mike graduated at the top of his class from Chapman University’s Dale E. Fowler School of Law, where his academic achievements placed him on the Dean’s List and earned him CALI Awards in Torts, Contracts, and Civil Procedure. In 2011, Mike received his Masters of Law in Taxation (LL.M.) from Georgetown University Law Center with an emphasis on the taxation of business entities and tax-free reorganizations. While at Chapman, Mike was also the Managing Editor of the Chapman Law Review and the recipient of the William Stallworth Scholarship Award for Excellence.
Since 2019, Mike has been distinguished as a Super Lawyer Rising Star, an honor reserved for the top 2.5% of lawyers in Southern California. Mike is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Iranian-American Bar Association, and serves on the Board of Directors of PAND (Persian-American Networking Development) a non-profit organization devoted to helping Persian-Americans network and establish professional relationships.
